When and Why and By Whom Did A.D. and B.C. Change to B.C.E. and C.E. ...?
The wholesale academic and mainstream shift from the abbreviations and terminology B.C. / A.D. (Before Christ / Anno Domini [The year since our Lord[’s Birth]) to B.C.E. / C.E. (Before the Common Era / the Common Era) did not happen overnight; it was a gradual transition that gained momentum in the late 1980s and raged through the 1990s and early 2000s as the U.S. and Christendom became less Christian through the mass influx of antichrist Third-World aliens. While the concept of a “Common Era” dates back centuries, its wholesale institutional adoption followed a distinct timeline:
1. The Pre-Academic Origin (17th-19th Century)
- In 1615: Johannes Kepler first used the phrase annus aerae nostrae vulgaris (year of our common era) or Vulgar Era (from the Latin, vulgaris) to mean “ordinary” or “common” (or to him, the “modern” era). Kepler used this standardization to distinguish the dates from from German regnal dating, which tracked time by the subjective years of a specific sovereign’s reign. Kepler did not intend to replace A.D. or eliminate the Christian calendar. He was a devout Lutheran who used Vulgar Era (vulgaris aerae) and Christian Era interchangeably.
- In 1856: Jewish historians and other scholars led astray by them began actively using B.C.E. / C.E. in English publications — because they wanted to strip history and literature from any reference to Christ Jesus. In like, hypocritical manner, they changed Christmas to X-mas (though they make more money off that season than during the rest of the entire year.
[It is true, but off point, that Christmas is not actually a Christian holiday, but an offense to God, a pagan holiday blended with a thin candy-coating of Christianity. The point of my comment above was that despite Christmas actually being a pagan holiday — it does have Jesus’ title, Christ, in it, and is associated by the majority of ignorant Christians as being a Christian holiday; and it is “the name” and “any Christian environment” which the Jews object — despite being in Christendom! “What’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine”, is the mindset.* Can you imagine a mass of European Christians moving to the State of Israeli and demanding equal rights, the right to vote, the right to be elected to office, the right to changing the Jews’ laws to suit European Christians, outlawing public displays of Channukah or Rosh Hashanna and even changing the names of those holidays, or outlawing public displays of the Jewish star...? The traffic on Talmud Highway goes one way only.

2. The Academic Mainstream (1980s-1990s)
- Specialized fields like archaeology, anthropology, and (so-called) Biblical studies adopted the notation in the 1980s; allegedly, “scholars” working internationally claimed that they required a neutral framework when working together with “scholars” from non-Christian nations. This is a lie. For the most part, nonchristian nations would not even have scholars, nor modern institutions of learning, were it not for the European Christian nations allowing them to attend our universities, or European nations establishing universities for them — and to show their gratitude, they object to our religion and culture while they expect us to respect theirs. This was merely an excuse for nonchristian, antichrist elements within Christendom (or Christendumb) to dechristianize us!
- Major academic publishers (almost all of which are Jewish owned) and alleged style guides — such as the Society of Biblical Literature (current President: Tamara Cohn Eskenazi) — began officially prioritizing B.C.E. / C.E. during this time.
3. Public Education and Mass Media (2000s)
- 2002: The dechristianized United Kingdom integrated B.C.E. / C.E. into its national school curriculum.
- 2005: The dechristianized U.S. College Board officially switched to B.C.E. / C.E. for all Advanced Placement (AP) history examinations.
- 2007: Major secular publications, including the World Almanac, fully phased out B.C. / A.D.
— and where was the Catholic Church (which claims to be Christian) and it’s universities, and the Protestant Church (which claims to be Christian and does not Protest anything any more and does not even know who the Reformers were or what they protested) and their universities in the face of this sacrilege and myriad other antichrist abominations?
This is the only possible outcome in The Post-Christian Era and the New Dark Ages.*
