—The Fake Theological Bomb [which is a dud] of Preterism Easily Dismantled If You Know the Word of God
If Christ had returned in the first century A.D., He would have set up the Millennial Kingdom of Peace, which would have ended long ago, after, well, after 1,000 years. It is poor theology that dispels such doctrine “spiritualizing” it, without any evidence that this is a mere spiritual lesson or an analogy: Noah literally was 120 years building the ark; the Israelites literally wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. God controls time and events, having planned and preordained them. He does not need to engage in “make believe” concerning dates and times and they are not to be spiritualized away, reducing the Millennial Kingdom to nothing more than a nice idea that God could not “pull off”. Such spiritualizing away is a smokescreen employed by those who have no legitimate theology of their own, and so they attempt to cloud the waters into murky confusion so others cannot see true theology either (like the wicked Pharisees who could not enter the Kingdom of Heaven themselves—and prevented from entering all others who could). They want you to close your eyes to what the Bible says and “IMAGINE” the false theology that they are passing off as the true.
Even as the weekly Sabbath (every 7 days) is literal; even as the Land Sabbath (every 7 years) is literal, even as the Jubilee Year (the year following 7 Sabbaths) is literal—so also must the Millennial Kingdom (the 7th Millennia) be literal. The first days of the week are for us to work, and the Seventh to Rest; and the 8th day (the first day of the new week) starts a new revolution of days. 6 is the number of man / sin. 7 is the number of Rest. 8 is the number of a New Beginning / Revolution (that is “revolving”, not necessarily an “uprising”). The very same cycle exists in the Millennial Sabbath or Kingdom. Satan and man had 6,000 years to do the work of sin; in the 7th Millennia 1,000 years of Rest and Peace will begin; in the 8the Millennia the Eternal Kingdom (a New Beginning / Revolution) will begin. The 6,000 year from creation (which begins the 7th Millennia) is the 120th Jubilee from Creation (120 x 50). 120 is 40 x 30. 40 is the number of “Testing under Probation” and 30 is “the Right Time”.
Scripture says that those who were beheaded (or possibly, martyred in any way) for Christ’s Name would share in the First Resurrection and would enter the Millennial Kingdom with those who are alive and remain at Christ’s Return (their being no “Rapture”, Christ returns to deliver His Bride and judge the wicked). Scripture also says that God will bind Satan, his demons, and the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the Beast and cast them into Hell / the Bottomless Pit for the time of the Millennial Kingdom. That is one reason why there will be Peace. The other reason is because Christ will rule on the literal Throne of David (not God’s Throne in Heaven). Is it not odd that no “Church Fathers” or other records exist concerning 1,000 years of Peace and Rest (not merely a decade or two in the world’s history in which there was no war); a time of relative sinlessness; a time in which Satan and his demons tempted no man; a time in which people from other centuries had been resurrected to rule and reign with us and Christ Himself! Also, God says that in the Millennial Kingdom, the light of the moon will be as the Light of the Sun and the Sun will be seven-fold in intensity. In case you were not aware of it, if this ever happened on earth during current atmospheric conditions, all life would fry to death. This seems to then infer that God will restore the vapor canopy that shielded the earth from excessive heat and radiation from the sun. in the Millennial Kingdom no one will say, “Learn ye of the Lord”—for all will know Him!
Scripture also says that the saints at Christ’s Return:
“Beloved, now [presently] are we the sons of God, and [but] it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He [Christ] shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.” (I John 3:2)
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then Face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” (I Corinthians 13:12)
I don’t know about you, but I am not as smart as I would like to be; I still have aches and pains and am less that perfect. Christ will appear before the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom (and be with us for the duration)... when He appears we shall be like Him and we shall know even as we are known: We shall no longer be in confusion; there will not be schisms, different interpretations, different denominations, divisions, debates, controversies, disputes. We shall be transformed into His Likeness once again, as Adam had been before the Fall.
THAT is what the Word of God says. THAT is what the Millennial Kingdom will be. I challenge any Preterist to meet those requirements.
After the literal Millennial Kingdom Satan is to be loosed “a little while” to test the faith of those born during the Millennial Kingdom (since their faith had not been tested, since Satan and his demons had been bound). It seems odd for God to inform us that the Millennial Kingdom would be 1,000 years long, had He only intended it to be a “symbolic idea” and then tell us that the time of rebellion after the Millennial Kingdom in which Satan is loosed to test the faith of those born in the Millennial Kingdom would be “a little while”. If the 1,000 years is not real, then God could have simply told us any number for the “little while” since it would not be real either. The point is, the 1000 years is literal and the “little while” is a vague mystery because God did not deem to tell us how long it would be that Satan would be loosed after the Millennial Kingdom—even as He did not disclose to us the exact time of Christ’s Return before the Millenial Kingdom. The point is that God’s people are to be faithful all the time—they are not to be half-hearted clock watchers, who loaf around until they see that the deadline is approaching, and then get busy; thinking that they can get their act together after having lived a life of complacent faithless irresponsibility and rebellion. Regardless, there have not been 1,000 years meeting these conditions in the modern era—and the time in which Satan was to be loosed was a “little while”—which far exceeds the time of evil that has existed since the first century, the invasion and murders and wars of the Huns, Mongols, Moors, Saracens. The wars among the Celtic tribes, Saxon tribes, Scandinavian tribes, Sclavic tribes—and against each other. From the tyranny of Rome in the First Century, through the wars and plagues of the Dark and Middle Ages, to the modern era. There has been no 1,000 years of Peace and Rest and sinlessness; and the “little while” after it is still here, since Satan is doing a number on us and the Remnant has nearly been exterminated.
This “little while” is certainly of shorter duration than the Millennial Kingdom itself; therefore, if Christ had returned in the first century A.D., we should now be in the Eternal Kingdom. Understand. Satan and his demons will be eternally banished to the Lake of Fire. There will be no temptation; no sin—and there will be no more death! Last time I checked, temptation, sin, and death were running rampant all over planet earth. There will be no more tears (I cry daily, I see other people cry, so I know that I am not the sole aberration). Also, there will be no more sea and the sun and moon will not exist. I grew up in South Florida. I know the Atlantic ocean is still there. I can’t speak personally concerning the Pacific (but I have it on good authority it is still there too). I’ve seen the Mediterranean and crossed the Suez Canal and swam in the Dead Sea. They’re all still there too. I used to be a carpenter and work outside all day without a shirt; now that I’ve been behind a desk for 28 years, I get sunburned after merely a few hours. I know the sun is there. I know the moon is there and its light shines in my bedroom window (which means the sun is still there, since the moon has no light of its own). While there will be no more sun, there shall also be no more night—for Christ shall be the Light thereof. I know nighttime comes every 12 hours or so (even less in the winter); and the sun rises each morning.
Like the theological rupture known as “the Rapture” and “Futurism”, Preterism is centuries-old Counter-reformation Jesuit-Zionist propaganda dug back up, put on a new plate with a new garnish and served back up to a gullible, ignorant Christian populace. The theology is little more believable than the two immoral youth in the 1989, humorous, though irreverent movie, “Weekend at Bernie’s”, who dragged along Bernie’s corpse with them, having him dressed and propped up, passing him off as a living person so they could enjoy their weekend in a condo on the beach which their new friend Bernie had promised them, until his untimely demise on the day of their arrival. The theology seems only believable to those who are legally blind or easily fooled.
The Preterist position is anti-intellectual and the delusion is achieved by other Christians being drawn into the delusion with those promoting it. This can be likened unto some cocky person asking the question, “If God can do anything, can He make a rock so heavy that He can’t lift it?”—thinking that he has just so cleverly demolished 6,000 years of theology. The answer to the question is: “God is under no obligation to enter man’s foolish, anti-intellectual delusions with him”. Reality is not altered by man’s misunderstanding of it (willful or ignorant). Just because something cannot be explained is not evidence of such a person’s position. Like those in the “no-Devil” camp who mindlessly declare, “I can prove that the Devil does not exist”. All that they can prove is that they do not know how to think logically. As German philosopher Martin Heidegger said, “The most thought-provoking thing in this thought-provoking world, is that we are still not thinking”. I think that may be the only profound statement he ever made—which is more than the average “Christian” can boast. As with all addictions, stupidity is no different: the first step is recognizing that the problem exists, and the next is actually wanting to remedy it and actually work toward it following a program that will actually achieve that desired result of deliverance.
Think about it (if you know how to think). You can prove, or at least demonstrate,* that something DOES exist, by producing it. HOW can you PROVE that something DOES NOT exist? Think about it. If you are drawing a blank, think of the Soviet propaganda invented by Khruschev, spurious “claiming” that while in space, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin said over the airwaves, “I don’t see any God out here” (which he did not say). Tell me, do you seriously think that even if Yuri had not seen God, and even had Yuri looked for God in the vast universe, that if Yuri could not find God that such would mean that God does not exist? —of course not. And so it is with the impossibility of proving that something does not exist. That which does not exist cannot be produced as proof that it does not exist. If something cannot be found, that does not mean it does not exist, but that it cannot be found. The absence of proof is not proof to the contrary.
[* If you don’t understand the difference between “prove” and “demonstrate”, or “proof” and “evidence”—you still don’t know how to think.]
Eternity or Infinity cannot be proved either; because since the end never comes you cannot verify that indeed it is eternal or infinite. But just because the end does not come does not mean there is no end; only that you did not travel far enough to reach it. Have you ever been lost and driving back and forth and many times you would have found your destination had you gone just another mile, but turned around thinking that it could not possibly be that far? So it is with Eternity and Infinity. Odds and probabilities can be hypothesized, but the greater duration in which the calculation is drawn out may change the probabilities. Just because you flip a quarter 10 times and 5 times it is heads, does not mean that if you flip a quarter a million times that 500,000 times it will be heads.
Very few scientific laws have been discovered; and most of what have been discovered are approximations to laws (with untimely exceptions unwelcomely appearing, from time to time). Just because someone’s mind cannot conceive something does not mean that it does not exist (and just because an individual can fantasize, does not mean that his fantasy does exist). 5-year olds playing hide and seek parallels the bulk of the anti-intellectual scholarship of the modern world (“Christian” or secular). Closing your eyes to reality is no different than some self-appointed board voting to determine if reality will be acknowledged—neither changes reality. Reality continues on despite man’s ignorance or hauteur. Some delusions are merely established by more sophisticated ritual.
If Jesus had actually returned, do you not think that a FINAL book of the Bible would have been written in a.d. 66 or 70 or whenever “to make sure that we got the memo”...? All the books of the Bible were written and translated down through the millennia to prepare us for that climactic event; all of life was a preparation for that event. So many of Christ’s parables taught of that event. Does it not seem odd then, that had it already happened, God would have written another book of the Bible for everyone else stuck on earth after the Millennial Kingdom, to inform us that we missed it and what is expected of us from here on out...? Maybe “I & II Depressions”...? But no other book of the Bible is needed because clearly the Millennial Kingdom has not been here (based upon the characteristics that I have already explained) and neither has the “little while” been here: for if the Millennial Kingdom and the “little while” had come and gone, we would be in the Eternal Kingdom with God Himself and we would not need a book telling us what to expect or what is expected of us.
God is not the author of confusion. Why would Christ leave us the Bible—the New Testament not “abolishing” or “replacing” the Old, but updating it, telling us to look for His Return, but not take that Bible away or at least give us a concluding chapter informing us that He did return and informing us what He expects of us now, since the rest of Revelation somehow was fulfilled yet we missed the bus and the Eternal Kingdom is going on full swing somewhere else...?
“So shall we ever be with the Lord”... Scripture says. WherI is He? — “ever” includes NOW. We are not with Him. Can you see Him, talk to Him, hear His reply, touch Him, interact with Him, ask Him questions? I can’t. But all those things would be possible if we were “ever” with Him. “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” What comfort are words that are nonsense or not true? What need would there be for comfort if He already Returned and the Millennial Kingdom came and went, and if we are now “ever” in His Presence and in the Eternal Kingdom...?
Preterism is illucid Swiss Cheese theology that people have to mindlessly accept, rather than having Biblical Doctrine upon which to found it. It is inconsistent and disharmonious and contradictory of all that the Bible reveals about the end times, the Millennial Kingdom, and beyond. Preterism destroys faith in the Word of God, which is the goal of all false theology: to destroy faith in God and even present a false christ so that blind “Christians” follow someone else in an entirely different direction. Preterism is yet another “step down program” by which “Christians” will eventually wean themselves off the Bible and faith in God entirely.
Mark 14:62 offers no support to Preterism.
“60And the high priest stood up in the midst [of the secret, illegal nighttime tribunal], and asked Jesus, saying, ‘Answerest Thou nothing? what is it which these witness against Thee?’ 61But He held His peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, and said unto Him, ‘Art Thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?’ 62And Jesus said, ‘I am [the Christ, the Son of God]: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the Right Hand of Power, and coming in the clouds of heaven [the sky].’ 63Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, ‘What need we any further witnesses?’ ”
Christ was not chronologically challenged. He said, “sitting on the Right Hand of Power” BEFORE He said “coming in the clouds of heaven [the sky]”. This sitting on the Right Hand of Power is in the Heavenlies: in the Presence of God in Glory.
[Also understand “cause and effect” and reality: God is not in a place called “Glory”—that place is known as Glory because God’s Glorious Presence manifests Itself there.]
This verse does NOT say that this high priest would not die until Jesus returned in His Glory. This is the classic “bait and switch”, in many respects, of people who either cannot coherently read with comprehension, or who purposely obfuscate the text. Read what the verse says and don’t read anything into it.
“Ye shall see”. No declaration is made concerning time or the place from which they would see Christ.
First of all, “ye” is PLURAL. Had Christ been speaking to the high priest alone, Christ would have said “thou shalt see”. Secondly, Christ did NOT say, “you will still be alive on earth, when you shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven”.
HOW COULD ANYONE from earth see Christ sitting on the Right Hand of Power by God the Father enthroned in Heaven...? I have trouble reading the signs that hang from the ceiling between the isles in the grocery store. I venture to say that no one could see Christ in Heaven all the way from earth; not even with the most-sophisticated telescope. Yes, those on earth, in the right locale, will be able to see Christ coming in the clouds [not the clouds of Heaven Proper (there are no clouds in outer space), but the clouds of earth’s sky] WHEN HE GETS CLOSE ENOUGH FOR THE HUMAN EYE TO SEE an object the size of a human, presumably riding a horse, with an army of angels behind Him, once they get below any heavy cloud cover. But no one on earth could see Christ sitting next to God the Father in Heaven. Therefore, it seems that the only interpretations possible are (and it could be both):
1. Those to whom Christ was speaking when He said “ye” were only those who would be converted—and they alone would be able to see Christ sitting enthroned in Heaven before His Return, because they will be in Heaven with Christ before He departs; they will not be on earth when they see Him in Heaven! Christ told Nicodemus, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Elsewhere Christ speaks of entering the Kingdom of God. “Entering” is entirely different than “seeing”, even as Christ saying that some people will “see” is an entirely different thing than saying that those persons “would be alive on earth”.
2. God would, some time in the future, give the wicked Sanhedrin members who were then present, haunting dreams / visions. Thus, those involved in the illegal trial would experience these nightmares and thereby be troubled in their spirit (even as Pilate’s wife later the very next day said that she had haunting dreams and begged Pilate to have nothing to do with the condemnation of that Righteous Man). Similarly, John the Baptist denounced the Edomite Pharisees who came to see his baptism, “Who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come” and as Christ denounced them, “How can ye escape the damnation of Hell?” (a rhetorical question, meaning “ye cannot”).
Consider another passage:
John 21:22-23 IS AN EMBARRASSMENT to both those claiming the Preterist position as well as anyone who thinks that this argument has any weight. CAN NO ONE READ? WHAT does the passage say?
“22Jesus saith unto him [Peter], ‘If I will that he [John] tarry [not die] till I come [return], what is that to thee? follow thou [Peter] Me’. 23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple [John] should not die: yet Jesus said NOT unto him [Peter], ‘He [John] shall not die’; but, ‘If I will that he [John] tarry till I come, what is that to thee [Peter]?’ ”
Christ did not say that John would NOT die until Christ returns. Verse 23 points out that the disciples [possibly eavesdropping] misunderstood Christ’s words to mean that John would not die until Christ returned—but John points out that is NOT what Christ said. While the disciples may have had an excuse [not having the Gospel of John at that time], WHAT EXCUSE does anyone who has read v.23 have other than spiritual blindness? Christ did not tell Peter that John would live until Christ returned (Peter having so asked, because Christ had just revealed to Peter that Peter would suffer a martyr’s death, making good on his promise to Christ, “though all else should abandon you, I will not, but will follow you even unto death”). Therefore, Christ answered Peter concerning whether John also would be martyred, essentially saying, “Peter, that’s none of your business; concern yourself with what I have told you about you”. Again, anyone who would so misinterpret this verse is engaging in a classic, infantile-level, dishonest “takeaway”: reading the verse, then taking it away and telling (“selling”) the gullible listener something entirely different than what the verse said, hoping that the listener will not actually read the verse again.
Consider another passage:
“27For the Son of man shall come in the Glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward [recompense] every man according to his works. 28Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in His Kingdom.” (Matthew 16)
Again, read what the verse SAYS. The verse does NOT say that some would not taste death until Christ Returned. It says that some there hearing His Voice would not die until they “SAW” Christ “coming in His Kingdom”. Consider also the parallel passage:
“26For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He shall come in His Own Glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels. 27But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9)
Understand, Christ never spoke to the general public except that He spoke in parables. However, Christ also often spoke in parables or hidden sayings to the twelve disciples also. Christ often said things that they did not understand; and Scripture says that they often talked among themselves what Christ could have meant; or they simply remained silent, it “going over their head” and their being too ashamed or scared to ask Christ Himself what He actually meant. This is one of those instances. Christ is speaking privately to the disciples and He spoke two different things. He spoke of His Coming in Glory—and He also spoke of some standing there who would not die until they saw The Kingdom of God / Christ Coming in His Kingdom. The Kingdom of God implies His Glory. But Christ did not say that some were standing there who would not die until they saw Him Coming in His Glory with the angels. That is a false inference. There are 2 verses in each passage and while the two verses in each passage are related, the first verse and the second verse do not say the same thing.
[Similarly, when the Pharisees tried to entrap Christ, He often answered their question with a question of His Own, or He made a general statement that did not answer their question, but left the less astute to draw the wrong conclusion. When they asked why His disciples did not pay taxes, He did not answer, “because _____________”. He said “Show me a coin”. He then asked, “Whose picture is on it?” He then said, “Render to Caesar that which is Caesar’s but unto God that which is God’s”. Caesar did not own every coin with his picture on it. Even if he did (which he didn’t) God owns Caesar and—“The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof; the world and all they that dwell therein”—so God also owns the coins. Christ left them to draw the wrong conclusions, but did not answer their questions and did not say, “Pay every tax that Caesar demands”. Similarly, as we already saw, when the high priest interrogated Christ, Christ did not even answer. However, when the high priest spoke in authority and invoked the Name of God (which Mark leaves out, but of which Matthew informs us)
“But Jesus held His peace. And the high priest answered and said unto Him, “I adjure Thee by the Living God, that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Christ, the Son of God” (Matthew 26:63)
—it was THEN Christ spoke plainly to them.]
Again, Christ often spoke vaguely, and their minds were immature they they did not understand what He meant, nor did they ask. Even when Christ told them that He would be betrayed, die, and rise again on the third day they did not know what He was talking about.
“31For He taught His disciples, and said unto them, T’he Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill Him; and after that He is killed, He shall rise the third day’. 32But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask Him.” (Mark 9)
So, after Christ told them about some not dying until they saw the Kingdom of God—what happened in the very next chapter? —THE TRANSFIGURATION in which Peter, James, and John SAW Christ in HIS GLORY!
“2And was transfigured before them: and His Face did shine as the sun, and His Raiment was white as the light.”
Then...
“3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with Him [Christ].”
Here we see a prelude to the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets (not an “abolishment” of them, but a coming full circle, harmonious joining of them; not the “end” of them, but the perfecting of them).
Peter, James, and John — “some” who had been “standing there” saw Christ in His Glory—in His Kingdom. What is a Kingdom without Law (which Moses represents)...? The Prophet (Elijah, the greatest of the Old Testament Prophets) was there to attest to all that had been prophesied coming to fulfillment in Christ.
Moses and Elijah also were witness to the fact that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living—that though the body dies, the soul / spirit lives on (and thus “soul sleep” is a false doctrine; those who are dead being referred to as being “asleep” is a figure of speech and refers to the body).
Christ said that not one jot or tittle would pass from the Law or the Prophets. The Law is God’s unchanging Moral Standard. The Prophets declare who God’s people are as established in His unchanging, unconditional Covenants with one people and one people alone.
Again, Christ did not say, “Some of you won’t die until you see Me return to earth to establish the Kingdom”; but that they would see Him in that setting—which Peter, James, and John surely did: and so in awe of that Glory they fell on their faces in fear. After it was over, Christ instructed them to not tell anyone else until after His Death.
Furthermore, John wrote his epistles in A.D. 90.
Peter wrote II Peter in a.d. 66, at which time many had already begun to doubt that Christ would ever return:
“3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4And saying, ‘Where is the Promise of His Coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (II Peter 3)
This verse itself gives evidence that Christ did not return in a.d. 70. Peter wrote this in a.d. 66. A mere 4 years later, certainly would not qualify as “in the last days”; and a mere 4 more years would not cause believers to start to doubt.
Even had Christ returned in the First Century A.D., Christ would not have come before the Great Tribulation, which is intended to judge a portion of the wicked while testing the faith of the elect. Christ even said that unless God drew those days of vengeance short, no flesh of the elect would survive. This could not have been referring to the Roman assault of Jerusalem, because the Israelites in Jerusalem were not even 1/2 of 1% of the Israelites—God having scattered His people throughout the earth, the Israelites of the diaspora being the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Baltic, Scandinavian, Sclavic and related peoples of Christendom; and the ancient Greeks were descended from the Israelites—even as the Romans themselves descended from the ancient Greeks (even as the Roman language derived from the Greek and the Greek from the Hebrew). So even if the Romans killed every last true Judean in the land of Israel, millions of Israelite would still exist in the world (including the Romans themselves—those who were pure in their genealogies) and the Greeks and all of the Germanic, Celtic, Brythonic, Baltic, Scandinavian, and Slavic peoples of Europe. So even if every last true Judean had been killed, that would not have been what Christ was referring to about “no flesh of the elect would survive” unless God drew those days short after once again God would shake heaven and earth.
Christ also said,
“7And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? 8I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith [yet] [up]on the earth?” (Luke 18)
The language here “speedily” does not refer to the time frame of Christ’s return and deliverance. A battle may be prolonged and span many years, even decades, even a century—but when there is a decisive major battle that ends it all, the end can be speedy. God bears long with His people because the purpose is Judgment as well as testing as well as giving the wicked more opportunity to fill up the measure of God’s Wrath. Likewise, the Israelites in bondage in Egypt cried unto God for many, many decades (it was 144 years from the time that Joseph died to the Exodus) before He finally raised up Moses—but when He did raise up Moses things happened fast...! And when the final stage of deliverance had arrived it was so fast they were told to eat the Passover Meal standing up, with the staff in their hand and there was not even time for their bread to rise, and thus they ate unleavened bread—and God said, “This night I will deliver you”, though the Israelites as a whole had no idea they were being delivered. So it is with God speedily delivering in Christ’s Return. It did not mean speedily in relation to the time at which Christ said it. It was speedy in the last moment in which the elect would be delivered or they would not survive. Imagine someone who has fallen off a cliff, hanging on to a branch for dear life, but the branch is starting to unroot and his strength is waning—and just in the nick of time before the branch or his strength fails, a hero appears! THAT is what Christ was talking about.
John wrote Revelation before he was released from the Isle of Patmos, after which he wrote his epistles (though some Bible notes incorrectly say that He wrote the epistles in A.D. 90 and Revelation in A.D. 96).
John began the Apocalpse,
“The Revelation of Christ Jesus, which God gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass...”
“Shortly come to pass” does not mean that the entirety of the Book of Revelation would be fulfillled immediately, but that first stages of the many different prophecies would soon begin to be set in motion, and then the rest of them would play out for the Chronological Period for which God had determined them. While 2,000 years seems long to us, it is merely the latter 1/3 of the entire Plan of God for planet earth in this age. After God first Promised Abraham that he would have a son, it was 50 years until Isaac would be born! “Soon” to man is not the same thing as “soon” to God.
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (II Peter 3:8)
Read it again if it did not sink in. Note also, especially, how the verse begins!
When a child has been promised by his father that the father is going to take the child to the zoo or somewhere special, the child has ants in his pants and can’t wait. He continues to ask the father, “Now...?” The father replies, “Soon”. The child does not know all that the father has planned, nor does the child realize that the zoo does not open until a certain time, or that that trip will not take very long, nor that the father already has the tickets. Nor does the child realize that the father has other things that he is doing and has determined to do, before taking the child to the zoo. “Soon” in the father’s mind, is not the same as in the child’s.
John wrote in Revelation 19:
“11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called ‘Faithful’ and ‘True’, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. 12His Eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His Head were many crowns; and He had a Name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. 13And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His Name is called ‘The Word of God’. 14And the armies which were in Heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15And out of His Mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the Fierceness and Wrath of Almighty God. 16And He hath on His Vesture and on His Thigh a Name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS’.”
Why did John write this...? —BECAUSE HE SAW IT! in a vision. John had not died at this time (he was exiled on the Greek isle of Patmos) and HE SAW exactly what Christ declared. John says 33 times (the age at which Christ died) in the Book of Revelation, “I SAW”; and he says 2 times, “I, John, saw”... Thus, again, Peter, James, and John saw exactly what Christ said, even if others did not understand the context or setting or time frame or method by which they would see what Christ said that they would see.
Consider also Christ’s declaration:
“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” (Matthew 24:34)
“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:32)
Generation does not merely mean “the period of time from one ancestor to the next”; that is a secondary, extended meaning. The Greek genea from genos first and foremost means “race, kin, stock”. From it we derive our words genes, genetics, generate, etc. Only in the modern era of confusion, and the mass violation of God’s Command for His people to be separate, are Christians ignorant concerning the racial meaning of the word generation—which cannot be divorced from the meaning of the word even if a time element is also being considered (which in this case, it is not).
[Similarly,
“50That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 51From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.” (Luke 11)
“31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 33Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of Hell? .... 35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.” (Matteew 23)
The people of that specific era of history were not guilty of Abel’s murder or the murder of the Old Testament prophet Zechariah (son of Berechiah*) —but that race of Edomite-Canaanites was. See my What Was the Mark that God Placed on Cain? and my, Who Was the Serpent...? for more details. Race is the only possible meaning of the word translated, “generation” in these passages.
* Though Scripture does not inform us of the murder of the “Minor” Prophet Zechariah, this seems clearly to be the person of whom Christ was speaking.]
God Promised to preserve a remnant of the elect of His people. Satan’s plan is to mongrelize them into oblivion so that there is no bride to which Christ can return, and so that God will have failed to preserve a remnant—and thus be proved to not be God: for if God can fail in any one area, then He is proved to not be Omnipotent and Perfect and Immutable and Omniscient.
Satan chooses his battles carefully, knowing that the easiest promise to prevent is that of an elect remnant remaining pure. In an era of the fearful bowing to and worshipping the god of “political correctness”, mass mongrelization and perversion of everything that God created (hybrids, GMOs, sex change operations, homoperversion, false religions, false doctrines polluting true Christianity, etc.), Satan works on the weakest link: God’s sinful people and the easily manipulated Third-World masses led by primal intinct, emotions, and urges. Since sinful Adamkind’s immoral proclivity is already set in the direction of corruption and self-destruction, Satan merely “fans the flames”. Since weeds in a garden quickly outgrow the good seed, it is only a matter of time before the good seed is choked out entirely, or cross bred and thus no longer God’s planting (no longer His seed, His children, with His Image—His entire House supplanted by the enemy’s children and all imaginable grotesque crosses, in further insult to God). Christ said that He will uproot every plant that His Heavenly Father did not plant and all things that offend and do iniquity [anomia, “lawlessness”].
The first time God destroyed the entire world with a Flood; to give the good seed time to reproduce before the weeds, perverts, and giant seed destroyed them entirely. The second time God will cleanse the earth with fire.
Satan knows the Bible far better than most “Christians” and Satan knows that his time is running out before he is cast into the Lake of Fire for 1,000 years (and then, after a little time, forever). That is the reason for the mind-freaking, heart-breaking accelerated militant tsunami / typhoon / avalanch of homoperversion, race mixing—and hatred of straight, white Christians. This is the reason for the hostile invasion of the Third World (the Flood that the Dragon / Serpent has spewed out of his mouth to drown the woman and her child). Liberal, lying, ignorant, treasonous politicians and media and special interest groups refer to these hostile aliens as “refugees” or “immigrants” or “dreamers” or “asylum seekers”—but they are nothing like the “immigrants” and “colonists” from Europe. Over the past 100 years crime, disease, illiteracy, immorality, and “National” debt have skyrocketed in the U.S. (and now all the nations of Europe) in proportion to the degree that these alien peoples have immigrated and reproduced. These, “rape-fugees” and “rape-apes” and “gimmi-grunts” litter, steal, vandalize, assault, rape, and even murder from the very time they set soil in Christendom. While of course not 100% of them do so, those who do not support and defend and help cover the crimes of those who do, so they are just as guilty. If they don’t speak out and expose the crimes of their vile kindred, they are accomplices.
Christ said,
“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” (Matthew 24:34)
“This generation shall not pass” means that God will preserve the elect remnant OF HIS PEOPLE even as He promised. “All these things” refers to all the wickedness in the last days, spoken of in the earlier part of this chapter which culminated in—
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh [of the elect of God’s people] be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22)
The solution for Christians who believe Preterism:
Stop following Zionist-Jesuit, faith-destroying rabbit-trail, anti-doctrinal false theology and follow the Lamb. Christ said that His sheep know His Voice and follow [obey] Him—obey HIS Law and HIS Doctrine; and the voice of a stranger they will not follow. Those “Christians” who follow the voice of strangers are on very shakey ground. They shall be led into the wolves’ den, not the sheepfold; and it is quite possible that they are not Christ’s sheep at all, but goats—whose end also shall be in the Lake of Fire. Anything that departs from the sound doctrine of the Word of God is humanism (and humanism is merely a euphemism for satanism).

Stop trying to stand on one-legged theological stools and then your faith won’t be shaken. Build your house upon the Rock. Futurism / the Rapture is false escatology in one direction, and Preterism is false escatology in the other direction. Both depart from the strait and narrow. Preterism is compounded by the false doctrines espoused by many: a “local” flood in Noah’s day, and the non-existence of Satan, demons, angels, or Hell.

False theology is intended to detour you from learning what God actually wants you to learn and obey—and then destroy your faith when it turns out to be fraudulent or impotent or senseless.
If THIS is the Kingdom, I don’t want any part of it. It is not what I signed up for... it is not what is in the brochure that I have. This is not the Kingdom. The Kingdom has not come and gone. It is yet to come for those who LOOK FOR HIS RETURN. Those who LOOK for His Return BELIEVE what He taught! Had He already returned, Christ would have TAKEN AWAY from us the “old Bible” and given us a new one...! If everything in that “old Bible” was fulfilled, it is all USELESS INFORMATION. All sorts of false doctrines spin off Preterism; such as, “if everything has been fulfilled then the Law has been abolished” (which is an invalid false assumption even if everything has been fulfilled; which it has not). Those who are not looking for Christ’s Return also are not being obedient in all that He commanded in “occupy [busy yourself] until I come”. This does not mean busy yourself with your own pleasures—but be about your Heavenly Father’s Business in seeking out the lost sheep and keeping yourself unspotted from the world. If the Millennial Kingdom came and went, then all of God’s sheep would in the sheepfold and we would be in the Eternal Kingdom in which there is no sorrow, no sickness, no sin or death, no evil, no nighttime.
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:29)
“26Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with Power and great glory. 28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21)
“1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (II Timothy 3)
