Confessing Christ entails repentance. There is no repentance without turning from what God forbade and turning to what He commanded. Anything less is humanistic pseudo-spiritual delusion. Keeping what God specifically commanded, obeying God's Law does not save; it never did; it could not; God never said that it saved. Obeying what God commanded is a by-product of regeneration. Where no fruit is evident, the Holy Spirit is not Resident. If old things have not passed away and all become new... there was no conversion, there was no regeneration; there was merely an emotional experience or a pragmatic change in club membership. People do not convert to Christianity. The Holy Spirit converts them. Fetuses don't conceive themselves. Infants don't birth themselves. Those who claim to be "Christians" who do not bear the fruit, produce the works that God commanded and ordained before the foundation of the world, were either aborted or still-born.
God is only your LORD if you do what HE said... all the time, not just when you feel like it, in the laws you don't mind obeying. Obedience is all or none. It is not obedience to pick and choose. That's lip-service. It is an insult. God is not fooled.
